The Sensa System

Your hot tub should help reduce stress, not add to it. Unfortunately that's not always the case. The process of maintaining a spa requires significant research and trial & error before mastering legacy processes. Sensa Spa was created to reduce the time you spend maintaining your hot tub and increasing the time you spend enjoying it, as well as ensuring safety for you and your friends & family.

The Sensa maintenance platform provides all of the tools needed to properly maintain your spa, with as little manual intervention as possible, and advice & alerts along the way. 

Sensa Spa

At the core of our system is Sensa Spa, an automated sanitizer dispenser that constantly measures your water parameters and dispenses Bromine and shock as needed. 

A sensor detects when the hot tub cover is opened and illuminates an LED on top of the device to indicate that it's safe to enter spa, or a warning if something is wrong with the water. This sensor also disables shock dispensing when bathers are present.

 

A magnetic lanyard parks the device out of the way while in use.

 

Sensa Spa connects to a smartphone through an onboard Bluetooth connection which provides instant control. Sensa also offers an optional Bluetooth-WiFi gateway to the cloud so you can stay informed wherever you are.

App

The accompanying app provides a balancing wizard to walk you through the process of optimizing alkalinity, calcium hardness and pH levels. Sensa Spa measures pH automatically but test strips are used to check alkalinity and calcium hardness and the app recommends which chemicals to use at each stage.

 

A dashboard shows the remaining life for the season/shock cartridge and all of the core parameters measured automatically by the sensor - pH, ORP (oxidation reduction potential) and temperature. Each of these parameters can be clicked to bring up a history of that parameter as well as advice to resolve any issues including chemical recommendations as well as dosing instructions. Any additional chemicals can be purchased directly from the app for convenience.

Chemical Subscription

Unlike the subscriptions of most of our competitors, which are meant to refill the chemical cartridges for their sensors, our subscription provides the chemicals meant to actually sanitize your spa. The first shipment comes with our seasonal sanitizers as well as balancing aids (pH/alkalinity/calcium increasers and decreasers) and should last for several months if not years in ideal conditions. After the initial subscription, the core chemicals - Bromine tablets, Dichlor shock and a Purge solution, are provided for regular use and additional as-needed chemicals are offered at our online store.

The Sensa subscription is based on a 3-month water season, so every three months the tub should be cleaned, emptied and refilled, and the chemicals needed for the next season are delivered to your door right on time.
